'Ramayana': Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to unveil first look on Ram Navami?

‘Ramayana’, one of the biggest films of the year, is slated to hit the big screens on Diwali. However, as per the latest buzz, fan can expect exciting new updates, as early as March. As work on Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project, continues at full pace, the team has not released any new promo material, posters or even teasers for what is touted to be one of the biggest and most expensive projects in Indian cinema. According to a report on cineinfinity, and unverified buzz on social media, fans can expect the much-anticipated first look to drop on Ram Navami.

‘Ramayana’ update coming in March?

The report states that the makers will launch the much-anticipated first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana on March 27. The team will also reportedly tease a glimpse of the film’s epic visual scale. Previously, rumours were rife that the makers would also likely drop some promotional material as early as February 15, on the occasion of Mahashivratri. However, an official confirmation on the same is still awaited.

AR Rahman on music of ‘Ramayana’

‘Ramayana’, that is being backed by Namit Malhotra, has reportedly shelled out the big bucks on advanced visual effects and other film technology to present the film on an international scale. Besides the visuals, the makers are also leaving no stone unturned for the film’s music and sound. AR Rahman, in a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, shared, “I’m working with Dr. Kumar Vishwas on Ramayana who’s like the pro, like a professor-level expert on (Ramayana and the Hindi language). Every atom of his body speaks Ramayana and he comes out with lyrics like that and he is a very kind person. So, we’re having fun.”

About ‘Ramayana’

Slated for a Diwali 2026 release, the film has generated sustained buzz across the industry and among audiences, despite no official trailer being released so far. The film features an ensemble cast featuring Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Arun Govil as King Dashrath.The film will be released in two parts, with Part 2 slated to release on Diwali 2027.
